Dear b.Good,

Our Triathalon Team
our.triathalon team
Meet Alex (the swimmer)
Meet Chris (the biker)
Meet Christian (the runner)
Hi, this is Chris and on behalf of my two friends, Alex (the crazy blonde one) and Christian (the loud crazy haired one), we had a peculiar request which we thought we'd ask you guys... I think I told you already that I'm a cyclist for Harvard and I've brought my bike in once or twice to the restaurant. Alex is a really good swimmer for Harvard (I mean really good) and Christian is just somebody who runs pretty fast (but not for Harvard). So, this summer we are planning on racing together in a triathlon as a relay team. Our target race is a race called the Lake Cayuga Triathlon in Ithaca, NY (Alex's hometown), and we plan on doing well...actually we plan on dominating...compared to past years, our times would demolish the competition. Before we register though, we need a team name...something that would befit all of us besides the fact that we all go to the same school. I think you already know that we love your restaurant, so one day, I had the crazy idea that we call ourselves Team B.Good. So, first of all, I guess we're asking for permission to use your name as our team name.

But in addition to this, we were wondering whether you would interested in some sort of pseudo-sponsorship deal. Perhaps keeping in line with your theme of good healthy food, you would be interested in promoting your image in athletics? We understand that you don't exactly have locations near Ithaca, NY, but this isn't a one-time thing. We want to keep doing relay triathlons for our entire four years here in Cambridge (we are freshmen and hopefully we won't kicked out of school or anything), and there are a lot of triathlons in Massachusetts that we can do...including one in Boston although I think this year's edition got canceled (still 3 more though!). So, hopefully, this will be a way of promoting the health and goodness of your restaurant?

Seriously, without being over-confident, we're going to tear this race apart (at least unless some all-pro triathlon team shows up...) and we want to represent something sweet on the podium...and hopefully not just the Ithaca podium but at races closer to home as well.

As part of representing b.Good, we thought we'd ask if we could get some perks along with permission to use the name...maybe some sort of free food system? (we come a lot...) And if this whole thing comes through, we want to get triathlon skinsuits custom-designed with the b.Good logo on it (this isn't that hard...my cycling team does it this way). There is one company that will do it for $145 each and we need 3...if you would be willing to subsidize the suits or at least chip in some, that would be sweet as well.

So, does this sound cool to you guys? Doable? We love your food and we come so much that I think it's like a common thread that holds us together or something...hence the idea to make a team called Team B.Good . Something other than the obvious fact that we're at the same school...and much cooler. Can we work something out?

Much thanks,

Chris, Alex, and hairy Christian
