newsletter #66 -- a champ, a shake, & a way to get more love

Hey Everyone,

Last month, these courageous family members did us proud.

Yes, those lion-hearted kinfolk gave everything they had to their fast-food family's dream of destroying a professional competitive eating bully.

But, it wasn't enough.

By stuffing down 7 lbs. of sautéed spinach in 5 minutes, Pretty Boy tied his own world record and maintained his place as the greatest spinach eater in the history of Earth. And even though watching normal people ingest disgusting amounts of spinach isn't a nice thing to see, it is pretty funny. That's why we made this special little video about our 6th annual garlicky-greens eating world championship.

To make sure their selfless effort wasn't in vain, we're giving away free shakes today (when you buy a burger) in honor of the brave family members who laid their esophagus on the line for us. (And since it's going to be 70 degrees today, we figured the best way to do that was with some nice, refreshing mango ones.)

No copies or forwards. Violators aren't just subject to paying for a shake. They're subject to our new assistant manager in Brookline, Josh. Josh didn't just work 90 hour weeks to help us open in Dedham, he also came the way from Tennessee to do it. Yes, after only a couple phone conversations and visits to our website, Josh actually packed up his car and drove cross-country to pursue his dream of making fast-food "real". Believe us, a free shake isn't worth testing a man demented enough to drive 1,000 miles for a job lead. Today, he'll be the man taking out any punks with the cajones to try to take advantage of our love for family.

And if you have an iPhone, that mango shake won't be the only gift you get from us.

That's because this month, we figured out a way to make sure our kin can feel more of our love. By using this free iPhone app when you visit us, you can let us know you stopped by. That way, we can stay in touch and we can surprise you with lots of nice, little gifts. If you're up for using it, we think this little app is the best way to feel all the love we've got to give. (And you'll feel that love immediately since we promise to put a free burger on there for you next week.)

P.S. Unfortunately, we had to change our homemade veggie burger recipe. After throwing away hundreds of broken ones that were too dry, we made the difficult decision to go back to using eggs. We apologize to our vegan family members who we know are going to be very angry about this.
