It’s on an island in the Boston Harbor. It’s a crazy project. But, we did it because we’ve always wanted to build a company that makes communities better because we’re there.

In lots of ways, the farm has helped us fulfill that goal. We grew real food (just over 9,000 pounds of produce this season), inspired community participation (over 100 of our customers volunteered on the farm over the Summer), and gave back (we donated 79% of the total harvest back to our community). Best of all, since the majority of the crops benefited a summer camp on the island for at-risk youth, our farm helped kids. We fed them and connected them to real food by teaching farming, healthy eating, and entrepreneurship at the camp every day.

You can read more about our project here and here.

We can’t wait to start growing again next Spring. And we’d love for you to help us grow good together. We’ll be posting a volunteer sign-up calendar again in the Spring for customers to spend a day with us on the farm. But, always feel free to drop us a note in advance if you have questions or are especially interested in getting involved.
