Customer of the Year 2005
In January 2006, we turned 2 years old. And in our own weird way of
celebrating our birthday, we held a "Customer of The Year" contest to find
that special b.good customer worthy of eating free burgers for our entire
3rd year in business.
After weeks of psychological analysis of the contest entries, we
identified the finest human to patronize our establishment during the last
year.
Our "Customer of The Year", Hanan Hassan, owns the title because she
personifies the commitment to the most noble of causes – free burgers
(even if the pursuit of that cause means defiling the immortal words of an
American hero).>
Her noble dream of a better day for all fast-food burger eaters across
this great nation (and her beautiful dream to eat free burgers for a
year), resounds in her contest entry:
"…I have a dream that one day on the red chairs of Wendy's, the sons of
former customers and the sons of former franchisers will be able to sit
down together at a table of burger-hood. I have a dream that one day even
the place called McDonalds, a destructive place, food sweltering with the
heat of chemicals and trans-fat, will be transformed into an oasis of
"real" food… I have a dream that one day the joint of Burger King, whose
customers' lips are presently dripping with the taste of malnutrition and
exploitation, will be transformed into an establishment where little wheat
buns will be able to join with fresh ground patties and live together as a
burger… Besides eating at b.good all the time and bringing you new
customers all the time, you should pick me as customer of the year because
I went to the trouble of defacing MLK's speech in the name of b.good. I
hope I'll soon be shouting, 'Free at last, free at last, thank God
almighty, my burgers are free at last!'"
