be our cousin in Brookline

b.good contest winner WalidIn August 2007, we opened our 3rd restaurant and we were once again just like that chubby, little weirdo on the Brady Bunch, "Cousin Oliver".

We were lonely, weird-looking, and nobody knew why we were here. So, we needed someone to take us in and love us like family even though we weren't related.

We needed a cousin.

The video our cousin submitted to win free burgers for life.

And we put up free "cousin oliver" burgers for life for that special customer who'd tell us why they'd be the best cousin for us in Brookline.

Walid Yassir, our neighbor on Kenwood Street, became our beloved kin by convincing us that his kids really needed cousins. But, he didn't just write of their need, Walid sent us a beautiful, weird, little video that guaranteed he'd never pay for another house-ground, hand-packed burger ever again.

As he told us in his entry, "I come from a large extended family with 66 first cousins. My parents came to this country in search of opportunity, and they found it here, but something was lacking...Cousins! My children don't have any cousins. For me, it's not about the free burgers - it's about making a better life for my kids – a life with cousins. Please watch this video to understand the anguish and agony my children endure, and the lengths I will go to give them that elusive piece of the American dream - Cousins!"
