Winning Submission: Adopted Luke
Reason Why Burger Should be Named Adopted Luke:
Because b.good is on its way to greatness. The Cousin Oliver burger was appropriate for its time - b.good was new, different, but well-received. But what ever happened to Cousin Oliver? EXACTLY. I don't believe b.good will suffer a similar fate. If anything, the fame and glory it has acheived until now will only pale in comparison to what lay in store. Years from now, we'll all reflect on how we used to eat at b.good back when it was just starting out. (Adopted Luke - the orphan adopted into the Seaver household in the later years of the 'Growing Pains,' an instant audience favorite...played by a young Leonardo DiCaprio)

We sat down with Rashmi this week and asked some questions to learn more about our winner:

b.good contest winner Rashmi Melgiri

Name: Rashmi Melgiri
Hometown: Houston, Texas
Profession:"Analyst"

Outside of consuming burgers full-time, what are your interests:
"Naming burgers and taking pictures with them."

What was the inspiration behind the name, Adopted Luke?
"I basically thought the Cousin Oliver name needed an update. It's true that b.good has been a Cousin Oliver to all of us in the world of fast food - it came out of nowhere and managed to breathe new life into something that we were becoming increasingly disinterested with. However, the fact that Cousin Oliver seems to disappear after "The Brady Bunch" is over bothers me. I don't believe b.good will fall victim to the same fate. If anything, the acclaim the restaurant (are you guys a restaurant?) has acheived in these early days, will only pale in comparison to the fame that is surely in store. So, I say name a burger "Adopted Luke" -- the rascally, much more interesting Cousin Oliver of the nineties sitcom "Growing Pains" who goes on to become one of the premiere actors of our generation."

Are you dedicating this award to anyone who was influential in your decision to name our burger?
"my parents - for allowing television to raise me."

How many burgers will you attempt to consume this year?
"2/day * (365 - 2*X-mas + 10*birthday)"

How many years do you think you will live?
"100"

According to our math, that means, over the course of your life, you'll eat 73,800 burgers at b.good. How do you feel about that?
"damn proud."
