our family bbq
Like last year, our 2nd annual "Family BBQ" on the 4th of July was a real
party - the kind where people were happy because there was music, beer if
you were over 21, flat orange soda if you weren't, a pimped-out El Camino,
a pimped-out Cremildo (our grill-guy), and more beer.
And since we have no friends outside of the people who eat and work at our
restaurant, we invited you, the members of our newsletter family, to our
party.
Unfortunately, not too much changed since last year's event (we still
didn't have the money to rent out the Esplanade or a dance club). So, we
once again were forced to hold the party at Anthony's apartment, a damp,
under-ground cave decorated with b.good posters, broken-down kitchen
equipment, and boxes of to-go containers. His horrible hovel opens up to a
small, weed-filled back-yard that's above-ground with light and fresh air.
So, this month, members of our family drank, laughed, danced and sang with
us in Anthony's back-yard.
